Belgium to be the second country to set limits on online gambling due to corona virus

A week ago Spain set limits on gambling promotions during the corona crisis and now the second country to follow is Belgium. In the case of Belgium are the conditions however slightly harder since there is no limitation on promotion but rather on playing. The Belgian regulatory decided the following.

Mandatory deposit limit is maximum EUR 500 per week. As a player you can deposit a maximum of 500 euros per week on your online play accounts. This limit applies per individual player and across all licensed websites. That means that today you cannot deposit more than 500 EUR to your player account. This measure is there to protect the players.

It is currently not possible to allow an increase in this limit. However, you can already request a reduction of this limit. You can do this via the gambling website itself. A reduction is always granted. This reduction is applied immediately.

You can still request to adjust your limit up to EUR 500 later. An increase is applied from three days after its application.
